Click here for komentarAlthough, there is a bit of hope for low watt computing. Jetson x2 certainly has the power to push through a lot of pixels with its GPU and lots of fast memory, because it's targeting the autonomous automotive driving emergent market a lot of fab investment going for it, so prices should fall adequately. It's the peak CPU performance that is suspect for emulators, because none of the devs (afaict) have ever managed to parallelize the main emulation algorithm enough that multiple cores are preferable to a strong single core, ARM prefers to push multiple cores over single core because of wattage.
ReplySince any linux and windows system has backwards compatibility to x86 32 bits, x86-64 is a effort pushed by very few.
ReplySigh, it reminds me of dosbox where the 64 bits JIT still can't compare to the 32 bits one. Fewer bugs and still faster, no one cares enough to redesign. PCSX2 is in better shape actually, because the effort is happening, instead of the whole emulator being in standby mode.Your Keywords
